In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad has taken arrangements and measures to allow members of the national community abroad to benefit , at best, consular services.
In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has put in place, at the level of the General Directorate of Consular Affairs and the National Community Abroad, a series of measures and provisions with a view to improving consular services and allowing members of the national community abroad to benefit, as much as possible, from these services.
As a result of this approach, the General Directorate of Consular Affairs and the National Community Abroad, has given, in accordance with the directives of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, instructions and practical guidelines that will have a positive impact on the quality of services.
In this context, major importance has been given, at the level of our diplomatic and consular representations, to the services responsible for issuing passports, by strengthening their workforce so that they can carry out their missions in the best conditions.
Among other measures, there is also the improvement of reception services, the extension of working hours and days from Monday to Saturday, the introduction of a reception service by appointment, in addition to the movement of teams biometrics in areas with high community concentrations and far from embassy and consulate headquarters.
In this context, it was decided to allow children of the national community abroad, exceptionally during the summer period which sees a large influx of members of the community to embassies and consulates to obtain travel documents, to enter to the national territory with a biometric identity document and a passport, in other words without a visa.
This authorization is applicable during the period from May 1 until the end of October 2024. The ministry aims to introduce facilities and improve the procedure for renewing travel documents without traveling to the headquarters of diplomatic and consular missions.
These measures will also be applied at the national level with a view to simplifying procedures at the level of civil status services under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs pending the upcoming announcement of the new system, concerning the structuring and functioning of the state service. civil or working mechanisms to facilitate services and provide quality service. |
