President Tebboune receives Arab League’s Secretary General 21/06/2022

ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune received Tuesday, in Algiers, the Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Abou Al Gheit.
The audience took place at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra and Principal Private Secretary at the Presidency of the Republic Abdelaziz Khellaf.


President Tebboune installs members of High Council for Youth 20/06/2022

 

ALGIERS- President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, installed Monday in Algiers members of the High Council for Youth.

Held in the Palace of the Nation, the installation ceremony was marked by the presence of Chairman of the Council of the Nation, Salah Goudjil, Chairamn of the People’s National Assembly, Brahim Boughali, Prime Minister, Aimene Benabderrahmanen President of the Constitutional Court, Omar Belhadj, Chief o State of the People’s National Army, Said Chanegriha, Principal Private Secretary, Abdelaziz Khellaf, Secretary Genenral of the Presidency of the Republic, Mohamed El Amine Messaid, advisors of the President of the Republic, members of the Government, as well as members and officials of the government.

Chaired by Mustapha Hidaoui, appointed by the President of the Republic, the High Council for Youth is made up of 348 members, of which 232 were elected to represent young people from different provinces.

Created by virtue of Presidential Decree 21-416 of 20 Rabie El Aouel 1443 corresponding to 27 October 2021, in accordance with the 2020 Constitution, the CSJ is "a consultative body placed under the President of the Republic."

For his part, President Tebboune had insisted on several occasions, on the need to make this Council a "real parliament" of young people and an "incubator" of political training, especially for academics so that they "actively participate in making crucial decisions in favor of the country."

Since his election, President Tebboune has been working to enshrine the role of young people and to strengthen their place as essential actors in the management of public affairs.


Lamamra delivers message from President Tebboune to Rwandan counterpart 18/06/2020

ALGIERS- The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, delivered Saturday, in Kigali, a message from President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the head of State of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, the ministry said in a statement.

ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, in his capacity as Special Envoy of President of the Republic, paid a working visit to the Republic of Uganda during which he was received in audience by Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, said the ministry in a statement. 

"In his capacity as Special Envoy of the President of the Republic, Abdelamdjid Tebboune, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, paid a working visit to the Republic of Uganda during which he was received by President Yoweri Museveni in his residence located in Rwakitura in the district of Kiruhura in the south-west of the country," the source said.
 
 On this occasion, "Minister Lamamra handed the Ugandan President a written message from his brother President Tebboune on the relations of brotherhood, cooperation and solidarity between the two countries," the ministry said.

The two officials further discussed the prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation,mainly in view of the new challenges imposed by recent developments on the international scene," the source added.
 
 In this regard, "President Museveni instructed Minister Lamamra to convey to his brother President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and through him to all the Algerian people the warm congratulations of Uganda on the occasion of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the recovery of national independence, while stressing the importance of the values enshrined in this major event for Africa and the whole world.
 
 Moreover, the two parties agreed "to work together and in close collaboration with the other Member States to strengthen the role of the Non-Aligned Movement to overcome the current tension in international relations and to promote international peace and security," the source concluded.


President Tebboune opens 53rd Algiers International Fair 13/06/2022

ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Monday opened the 53rd International Fair of Algiers, with the participation of more than 700 companies representing 20 countries, at the Exhibition Centre of Algiers.

President Tebboune was welcomed at the entrance of the Exhibition Centre by Prime Minister Aimene Benabderrahmane and the minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig.

Members of the government and foreign diplomats accredited to Algeria attended the opening ceremony of the International Fair of Algiers, to run until June 17 under the slogan "For a Strategic Partnership."

Visiting the various stands, Tebboune was provided with details on the event, which has brought together over 700 companies, 530 of them Algerian (147 state-owned and 383 private) and 187 foreign.

The national companies participating in the fair are representing several sectors, including electronics, electrical and household appliances industries, (42 companies), agri-food industries (68 companies), services (66 companies), chemical and petrochemical industries (87 companies), mechanical industries (68 companies), manufacturing industries (35 companies), craft industry (100 companies), the construction industry (45 companies), and 19 subsidiaries of foreign companies operating in Algeria.


Lamamra receives German's deputy foreign minister 13/06/2022
ALGIERS- The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, received Monday in Algiers Germany's Deputy Foreign Minister Katja Keul, who is on a working visit to Algeria, the ministry said in a statement.
