Algerian Citizens resident in Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines can register in person or by courier at the Algerian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur
Please provide the following documents when applying for consular registration:
Application form (arabic) (french) filled in and signed by the applicant. (Hand written application will not be accepted)
Original copy of the birth certificate
Original copy of your father's or death certificate. If you were born abroad you must provide the birth or death certificate of your grand-father or a certificate of Algerian nationality.
Original and a copy of proof of legal residence in Malaysia, Thailand or the Philippines (student visa, work permit visa etc...)
Four (4) (similar) recent passport-sized photographs
Proof of employment or enrolment certificate for students
Copy of marriage certificate.
Copy of any document showing your status with regard to national service in Alegria (sursis, carte de dispense ou d’exemption, livret militaire).
Original passport and photocopies of pages 1, 2, 3 including visa endorsement page.
For those applying by courier service a stamped self-addressed envelope. (For the safety of your documents, we recommend a recorded delivery envelope).
Please note that national not residing permanently in Malaysia, Thailand or the Philippines must provide the consular services of their annual renewal of their resident status , a copy of the stamped page must be sent by any means ( Fax- email- post- or in person) Contact
A social visa for a long period ( 6month and more) which are obtained with foreign embassies abroad are not accepted.
Nationals married in Malaysia, Thailand or the Philippines should apply simultaneously for the registration of their marriages and the issue of a Family Book. For this purpose, they need to provide when applying for First Consular registration .
A copy of the marriage certificate
A copy of the national's full birth certificate (Copie integrale)
A copy of the spouse's full birth certificate
The registration card is valid for five (5) years from the date of issue and is free of charge.
b) Renewal of the consular registration card
Please provide the following documents when renewing your Consular Registration
Previous registration card.
Two (2) recent photographs.
a copy of proof of legal residence in Malaysia, Thailand or the Philippines
Proof of Activity.
Stamped self-addressed envelope when applying by courier
c)Transfer of Registration File
Algerian Nationals already registered at an Algerian Embassy or Consulate abroad and currently residing permanently or temporarily in Malaysia, Thailand or the Philippines should ask for the transfer of their Registration file.
This procedure is carried out by the Embassy and new registration in Kuala Lumpur is granted as soon as the file is transferred. (In some cases, the agreement of competent authorities in Algeria is needed).
Original of the current Consular Registration card
Original of any evidence of legal and permanent or temporarily residence in Malaysia, Thailand or the Philippines
4 similar recent passport size photographs
Additional documents related to the applicant's personal or professional profile may be requested at a later date .
d) Change in situation (registered person)
The registered person is invited to inform the Embassy of any changes related to the address, the marital status, registration of children on subsidiary basis, the birth or death.
This information helps update the consular file.
This procedure applies to nationals who received a certificate of change of residence (CCR), or who requested to cancel their registration, and they come back into the consular district of Malaysia,Philippines or Thailand.
It takes place under the same conditions as those applying for the first registration.
